The area around Stalhille is known for its beautiful, flat cycling routes along the canal
Bruges–Ostend and through the open polder landscape. Follow the canal towards Bruges for a relaxing ride to the historic city center, or cycle in the other direction to De Haan and the coast, with panoramic views and pure tranquility along the way.
After a day in the saddle, return to the comforts of a secure bike shed and charging station. A paradise for those who enjoy active enjoyment, in tune with nature.

We are Annabel and Piet, and together with our family we created De Smisse as a place where you can immediately feel at home.
What started as a dream to build a warm and stylish holiday home in the peaceful Stalhille, grew into a home where personal attention is central.
No anonymous key handover or standard formulas, but a holiday home where every detail has been consciously chosen, from the interior to the comfort that we also find important when we travel.
We would love to give you a warm welcome and are always ready to provide practical information, tips about the area, or answers to your questions.
Whether you are staying with family, friends or as a couple, we think it is important that you can enjoy a carefree stay from the moment you arrive.

What amenities are included in the holiday home?
Holiday home De Smisse is fully equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
You will have access to a washing machine, tumble dryer, extra freezer and a fully equipped kitchen with all the necessary appliances and kitchen utensils.
We have also thought of young families. On request, we are happy to provide a high chair, cot and stair gate. Please let us know in advance if you wish to make use of these, so that everything is ready for your arrival.
Are pets allowed in the holiday home De Smisse?
Unfortunately, we are not allowed to accept pets.
Is it possible to check in early or check out late?
This is certainly open for discussion. Feel free to send us a message and we will see what we can do to accommodate you.
Where can we park our car?
We have a private parking space, and there are plenty of parking options available nearby.

We are located just 3 minutes from the Jabbeke exit on the E40 and are very easily accessible. From Bruges, you can reach us in 30 minutes by public transport with De Lijn (bus 39), stopping 200 metres from the accommodation..
Are cleaning and bed and bath linen included in the price?
Yes, at De Smisse everything is included in the total price.
Final cleaning, as well as bed linen, towels and kitchen linen, are provided as standard so that you can enjoy your stay in our holiday home in Stalhille without any worries.
So there are no extra or hidden costs.
